Job summary

Peet's Coffee in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota is hiring a Production Team Member to help package and deliver our finest coffee while upholding safety, quality, and accuracy across the packaging process during the 3rd shift (11:30pm–8:00am).

You will collaborate with the production team to maintain a safe work environment, perform packaging activities (case filling, box assembly, pallet stacking), conduct quality checks, record documentation, and identify opportunities to improve productivity

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an industrial production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow production documentation, work instructions, and safety procedures.
• Basic proficiency in math, reading, and written communication; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the production team to maintain a safe work environment, ensure product quality, and meet production goals.

• Complete cleaning and sanitation tasks to maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Perform material handling to support an organized production area.
• Follow all written and verbal instructions, including safety and production procedures.
• Use computer applications to complete production tasks and documentation.
• Perform quality checks and document production and quality data.

The Production Team Member plays an essential role in our production operation, helping package and deliver the industry’s finest coffee. This position is responsible for meeting production goals efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and accuracy throughout the process.

Schedule: This position works 3rd Shift, Monday-Friday from 11:30pm-8:00am

Pay: $17-18/hour

What You Will Do

• Follow all food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to maintain product safety and quality.

• Operate on a packaging line with consistent speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
• Complete assigned cleaning and sanitation tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Perform material handling and management tasks to support an organized and efficient production environment.
• Follow all written and verbal instructions, including safety and production procedures.
• Use computer applications to complete assigned production tasks and documentation.
• Perform quality checks and accurately document production and quality information.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an industrial production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow production documentation, work instructions, and safety procedures
• Basic proficiency in math, reading, and written communication
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate standard workplace systems
• At least 1 year of experience in the coffee or food manufacturing industry is strongly preferred.

Physical Demands

The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking in addition to the following:

• Able condition to work 8 hour shifts while standing, lifting, bending, and reaching
• Must be able to work on your feet over 9 straight hours
• Able to perform physical tasks that are repetitive and lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis
• Must be able to lift 80 pounds 20% of the shift
• Must be able to endure constant leaning and bending during shift
• Must be able to handle/move up to 750 pound bins on casters

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements for this position include sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements must be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodation.

The target hourly range for this position is $17-$18 per hour. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
