Emmi Roth is seeking a Production Team Member to support cheese making and packaging operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will assist with forming, flipping, brining, quality checks, and sanitation of production equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to operate pallet jacks and other handling equipment. Candidates should be comfortable with physical tasks and shifting schedules as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in cheese making or food manufacturing preferred but not required.
• Ability to safely operate electric pallet jacks.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
• Basic arithmetic with whole numbers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cheese production using machinery and equipment to support smooth operation.
• Collaborate with production team to meet targets and ensure efficient workflow.
• Load and unload raw materials and cheese using equipment such as hoists and conveyor systems.
• Move products safely within the facility following proper handling procedures.
• Ensure equipment and materials are ready for production activities and troubleshoot issues.
• Monitor production lines for smooth flow and conduct quality checks with documentation.
• Adhere to Affinage guidelines, labeling, and sanitation procedures.
• Follow ERU food safety policies and all government regulations (FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA).
• Participate in safety meetings and training; report hazards promptly.

Summary

The Production Team Member performs a variety of essential tasks to assist with production in a food manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include activities such as form cheese, flip cheese, brine cheese, completing quality checks and participating in the sanitation of production equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of machinery and equipment used in the cheese making process to ensure smooth operation and efficient production.
• Works closely with other production associates and team members to ensure efficient workflow to meet production targets.
• Load and unload raw materials and cheese using food manufacturing equipment including hoists and or conveyor systems.
• Safely and efficiently move products and materials within the facility, following proper handling procedures. This may involve using electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other equipment to transport goods.
• Ensure all equipment and materials are set up and readily available for production activities.
• Observes and monitors production lines to ensure the smooth flow of operations.
• Conducts regular quality checks and completes quality documentation to ensure compliance with specification and standards.
• Ensures accurate labeling and adherences to Affinage guidelines.
• Cleans and maintain equipment, tools, and work areas following proper sanitation and cleaning procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Adhere to ERU food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations. (ex. FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA)
• Adheres to safety guidelines and complies with all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Attends safety and department meetings and completes all required training in a timely manner.
• Identifies and reports potential safety hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a cheese making or food manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
• The ability to safely operate electric pallet jacks.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
• Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change.
• Ability to work overtime or extend shifts as needed.
