Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking a Production Team Leader to assist the supervisor in overall production efficiency of pipe fabrication including band saw, tube bender, and plasma cutter cells. You will support operation and training of equipment and provide ongoing support for machine operators.

The role emphasizes meeting production requirements, coordinating area staff, and maintaining safety and quality standards while handling shift reporting and documentation.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of manufacturing experience on the production floor.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• May require travel for Company training.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor in meeting production requirements by identifying limiting factors that inhibit production and recommending measures to improve production methods.
• Coordinates activities of area employees to maintain production levels ensuring timely set-ups, changeovers, etc.
• Troubleshoots emerging production oriented problems as they arise within the area and communicates issues to supervisors, engineering, maintenance, and quality.
• Enforces all company safety rules. Ensures conformance to quality and safety standards.
• Responsible for shift reporting and other documentation applicable to assigned area (PCV, production report, SPC chart, etc.).
• Fills in for employees when necessary and appropriate.
• Trains and instructs employees as necessary ensuring standardized work.
• Supports and upholds management decisions.
• Troubleshoots emerging production oriented problems as they arise on the floor.
• Maintains safe, clean and orderly work area.

Position Description

The Production Team Leader is responsible for assisting the supervisor for overall production and output efficiency of pipe fabrication, including band saw, tube bender, and plasma cutter cells. The Team Leader will support the operation and training of the equipment, as well as ongoing support for the machine operators in this area.

Required Education & Qualifications

• 2-5 years of manufacturing experience on the production floor.
• Possess computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• May require travel for Company training.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience working with band saws, tube benders, and/or plasma cutters
• 1+ years of experience of direct or indirect production floor leadership
• Brazing experience

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
