Job summary

Illuminate USA, a new standalone joint venture in Central Ohio, seeks a Production Team Leader to supervise a 12-hour shift in our large Pataskala facility. You will guide daily production activities, manage schedules, and enforce safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes process improvement, training delivery, and collaboration with a diverse team to meet ambitious output and efficiency goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as an individual contributor.
• Strong knowledge of production processes and 6S safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of a production area to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved; Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Coordinate work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity.
• Monitor production activity, identify process problems, troubleshoot root causes, and develop solutions.
• Suggest improvement plans to improve efficiency and safety.
• Deliver and coordinate staff training and new hire orientation.
• Ensure all safety policies and processes are followed.
• Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

This Production Team Leader supervises the daily activities of a production area to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved. Other main responsibilities include:

• Monitor production activity, identify process problems, troubleshoot root causes, and develop solutions.

Qualifications:

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree.
• Generally, has a minimum of 2 years' experience as an individual contributor.
• Thorough knowledge of the team processes.
• Strong experience of productions safety and work-floor 6S standard required.
• Ability to work under pressure, coordination ability, interpersonal communication ability, planning and execution ability.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires ongoing physical activity throughout a 12-hour shift, including:

• Standing for up to 12 hours
• Bending and lifting consistently for 12 hours, up to 50 lbs
• Walking and traversing production areas for 12 hours
• Close attention to detail for up to 12 hours
• Viewing flashing stack lights and other visual production cues
• Pushing and pulling for up to 12 hours, up to 50 lbs
• Reaching forward and downward regularly
• Ability to fit between tight or narrow spaces depending on equipment layout
