Job summary

Samuel, Son & Co. Ltd. in Cartersville, GA seeks a Production Team Lead to guide daily production, ensure safety, and uphold quality across all printed products.

You will train staff, monitor machines, and coordinate with the Production Supervisor to maintain efficient operations. The role requires 2–3 years in manufacturing, strong math skills, and the ability to work 8–12 hour shifts, with physical requirements including lifting up to 50 pounds and navigating heights and confined spaces.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years manufacturing experience required.
• Basic mathematical skills required.
• Ability to stand 8–12 hours per shift.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, work at heights up to 50’ and in confined spaces.
• Able to work in awkward positions (kneeling, squatting, etc.).
• Light manufacturing conditions; steel-toed boots, safety eyewear and PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and motivate team members; coordinate with Production Supervisor.
• Maintain safe and clean workplace; enforce safety policies.
• Ensure product quality and adherence to work instructions and ISO processes.
• Monitor daily printing operations to minimize scrap and downtime.
• Ensure correct print setup (plates, direction, color, clarity) for each product.
• Fill in to operate machines and keep production lines running.
• Communicate plant issues to supervision and adapt to changes to maintain productivity.
