Seal & Design Inc. in Town of Clarence, NY is seeking a hands-on Lead to manage and guide a fabrication team. You will coordinate daily schedules, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining strict material handling and quality standards.

You will lead the team with KPI boards for Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and 5S, perform first-piece inspections, and collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Scheduling to resolve issues and ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifikationen

• Associate's degree (AA) in a technical discipline and 1-2 years related experience, or equivalent
• Proficiency working in a computer-supported environment with business software and Microsoft Office
• Basic math and measurement proficiency
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Set up jobs in alignment with departmental priorities to maximize efficiency and product quality.
• Minimize job write-off issues related to material usage and equipment performance.
• Ensure all required materials are staged and available at machines prior to fabrication; maintain accurate material handling processes.
• Perform first-piece quality inspections for new fabrication runs, as needed.
• Oversee die management, ensuring proper maintenance, storage, and movement.
• Serve as an on-floor resource providing guidance, support, and direction across functional areas.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities with Maintenance, Quality, and Scheduling to resolve production issues.
• Support downtime planning and ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensure operational discipline by resolving job-related issues within the paperless environment.
• Drive compliance by ensuring all employee training is current and required audits are completed.

Pay Range: $25-28/hour

• Associate's degree (AA) in a technical discipline and 1-2 years related experience, or equivalent
