We are seeking a senior cloud infrastructure expert for the role of Systems Manager. This leadership position involves overseeing production (prod) and non-production (non-prod) environments, managing a team of DevOps lead engineers, and ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with hands‑on experience in cloud technologies, capable of driving operational excellence while mentoring technical talent.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage systems, servers, and networks to support scalable and resilient cloud‑based operations.
- Maintain security protocols, backup procedures, and redundancy strategies to safeguard data and minimize downtime.
- Ensure the efficient operation of the technology infrastructure, including monitoring performance, optimizing resources, and troubleshooting issues.
- Manage and mentor a team of DevOps lead engineers and other technical team members, promoting best practices and professional development.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional departments (e.g., development, operations, and business units) to identify technology needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Stay abreast of emerging technology trends, cloud innovations, and industry solutions to recommend and integrate advancements that align with business goals.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or leadership role overseeing prod and non‑prod environments.
- Proven expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including services for compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Strong background in DevOps methodologies, infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing engineering teams, with experience in mentoring, performance reviews, and team building.
- In‑depth knowledge of security best practices, compliance standards, backup/recovery strategies, and redundancy planning.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities, communication skills, and the capacity to collaborate across departments in a dynamic environment.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK Stack), network management, and emerging trends like edge computing or AI‑driven infrastructure.
