Job summary

Volto Consulting in the United States is seeking a Production Support Engineer with Oracle DBA experience to monitor and administer PET Oracle databases, perform refreshes, ensure security, and support capacity planning and troubleshooting.

The role covers IBM CDC replication, JBOSS and WebLogic middleware administration, production deployments, batch processing, and off-hours pager duty with weekend/overnight validation.

Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Database Administration required.
• Proficiency in shell/batch scripting on Unix/Linux.
• Familiarity with IBM CDC replication.
• Experience with JBoss and WebLogic middleware.
• Production support and deployment experience.
• Database performance tuning and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work off-hours for production support.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and administer PET Oracle database, perform refreshes, security, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.
• Support IBM CDC replication and PET application schema metadata.
• Provide JBOSS and WebLogic middleware administration.
• Coordinate production deployments, REN-related tasks, and restart activities.
• Create Unix batch scripts, manage cron scheduling, Linux support, and server migrations.
• Support RAD, ODS/Data Warehouse, and CHASE Paymentech batch processing.
• Handle pager-duty and off-hours production support including weekends and overnight deployment validation.

Responsibilities span several specialized areas that are not fully covered by Enterprise support, including:

• PET Oracle database monitoring, administration, refreshes, security, capacity planning, and troubleshooting
• IBM CDC replication support and PET application schema metadata
• JBOSS and WebLogic middleware support
• REN production deployments, database links, tablespace validation, CDC coordination, and restart activities ( REN is a third party product,
• Unix batch scripting, cron scheduling, Linux support, and server migration activities
• RAD, ODS/Data Warehouse, and CHASE Paymentech batch processing
• Pager-duty and off-hours production support, including weekends and overnight deployment validation
