Job summary

Metal Works Inc. is seeking a Production Support Associate for the 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM). The role assists multiple departments to keep workflows smooth, prepare materials and maintain work areas, and help move products through the manufacturing process safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate is reliable, adaptable, and enjoys working in a team‑oriented environment with a willingness to learn new tasks and operate equipment safely.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and verbal directions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
  • Basic computer or production data entry skills are a plus.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and operate equipment safely.

Responsibilities

  • Support production operations by preparing workstations, materials, and equipment for daily manufacturing activities.
  • Move raw materials, components, and finished goods between departments using appropriate material handling equipment.
  • Assist production personnel with routine tasks to help maintain productivity and meet production schedules.
  • Monitor inventory at work areas and replenish materials as needed to minimize downtime.
  • Perform basic inspections to verify parts and materials meet job requirements before advancing to the next operation.
  • Accurately complete production documentation and record job information according to company procedures.
  • Report equipment concerns, quality issues, or safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following established housekeeping and safety standards.
  • Follow all company policies, work instructions, and safety regulations while performing assigned duties.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.

Position Overview

The Production Support Associate is responsible for assisting multiple departments to ensure efficient workflow throughout the manufacturing facility. This role provides hands‑on support by preparing materials, maintaining work areas, assisting with production activities, and helping ensure products move through each stage of the manufacturing process safely and efficiently. Essential Responsibilities
