Job summary

Nature's Path is seeking a Production Supervisor for nights in Sussex, WI. You will supervise a shift to ensure product quality and efficiency, coordinating with QA and maintenance to optimize line performance. The role requires strong leadership, adherence to GMP/SOP/SQF, and lean practices to maximize profitability.

Qualifications

• Five years of manufacturing experience
• 2-3 years of direct supervision in manufacturing

• Ability to collect and analyze data to drive decisions

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate on-shift team members to meet GMP, SOP, SQF, and Lean standards.
• Ensure on-schedule and within-budget production for the shift; plan production for remaining shifts.
• Collaborate with maintenance and Production Manager to optimize machine setups and preventative maintenance.
• Incorporate Lean practices to maximize efficiencies and reduce waste.
• Coach and develop staff; address deficiencies and administer discipline when needed.
• Maintain safe, healthy work environment and reliable equipment; ensure proper maintenance.
• View materials and resources to minimize waste and line downtime; ensure FIFO of raw materials and WIP.
• Support staff recruitment, training, performance reviews, and timely evaluations.

Description

As a Food Production Supervisor - you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating team members on shift to execute core operating processes, including the GMP’s, SOP’s, supply management, SQF and Lean; to ensure quality product, efficiencies, and cost structures that optimize profitability. We offer a competitive annual salary.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (9:00pm -5:30am)

A Taste of the Role:

• Work with Quality Assurance on shift to ensure product quality standards, minimize held production, and ensure proper disposition occurs when holding product is necessary
• Ensure production for shift is on schedule and within budget, plan production for remaining shifts of the week
• Working with maintenance and the Production Manager to understand optimal machine setups, coordinate preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical problems, to optimize performance of equipment and facilities
• Ensuring that lean practices are being incorporated and continuously used to maximize efficiencies
• Coach and develop employees, correct deficiencies, and implement discipline procedures
• Ensuring that the work environment is meeting safety and health standards and that equipment Is well-maintained functions reliably
• Assist in carefully plan the utilization of materials and other resources to minimize waste, properly utilize labor, and minimize line downtime
• Work with shipping / receiving personnel to ensure proper FIFO of raw materials and WIP management
• Understand the role of IFS to ensure proper allocation of materials to production runs
• Participating in the selection of staff; providing or coordinating staff training; working with employees to correct deficiencies; implementing discipline procedures; and providing timely, accurate, and thorough Performance Reviews for supervised employees

Path for Success:

• Five years of manufacturing experience and 2-3 years of direct supervision in manufacturing
• Proven track record of achieving results through the growth and development of others
• Demonstrated ability to collect data, analyze and draw facts, make decisions based on those facts
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel
