Position Description:

Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations, ensuring that production processes run efficiently and meet quality standards. They manage and motivate production teams, coordinate schedules, Verify timesheets monitor workflows, and troubleshoot issues to maintain productivity. Additionally, they enforce safety protocols, ensure compliance with company policies, and collaborate with other departments to optimize production performance. This includes maintaining a clean and safe operating environment, preparing for changeovers, testing product quality, efficiently operating machines, planning materials for production, immediately reporting any concerns/issues with safety, machines, quality, etc. to the appropriate individual, and more. Compensation for this position will be based on skill, and many advancement opportunities will be available. This may include opportunities within and outside of the Production Department.

Safety
  • Understand and follow all safety procedures and policies.
  • Follow all safety rules and procedures established by the company.
  • Take personal responsibility for own safety and fellow employees, correcting and/or assisting in thecorrection of any safety hazard identified.
  • Immediately report any safety concerns/issues to the appropriate individual.
  • Coordinates, monitors, and maintains safety and good housekeeping (5S) practices in all areas of the department.
  • Observes and verifies finished product meets customer quality expectations and immediately takes corrective action if it does not.
  • Audits standard work procedures and enforces adherence to standard work instructions to ensure product meets quality standards.
  • Manages and identifies improvements to production outputs, scrap rates, and change-over times.
  • Works with production planning (scheduling) to optimize run order efficiency and maximize production performance.
STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE
  • Reviews production orders to ensure the packaging supplies and raw materials are available to produce a product that meets the customer's specifications.
  • Manages daily manpower by assigning and delegating work.
  • Directs, monitors, and assists in the training of all employees under their supervision.
  • Engages with employees and positively manages the quality of work and performance of each employee.
  • Maintains, verifies and approves time for hourly employees.
  • Appraises, develops and promotes employees under their supervision, including recommending raises (level changes).
  • Accurately completes daily production paperwork.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma and GED required
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred.
  • 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing, film experience preferred.
  • Effective communication as a supervisor, coach and trainer while providing individual and technical leadership to direct reports as well as management
  • Experience in Supervising in a Lean manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Experience working in a fast-paced management and managing multiple shifts.
  • Strong technical ability; able troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience mentoring and coaching employees
Physical Requirements include, but are not limited to (all times are approximate):
  • Sitting (1-2 hours).
  • Standing (Constantly - up to 12 hours).
  • Walking (Constantly up to 12 hours).
  • Lifting/Carrying (regularly up to 12 hours - a minimum of 75 lbs.).
