Job summary

General Shale Brick, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Moncure, NC manufacturing facility to lead automated production lines, drive safety, quality, and efficiency, and develop teams. This role emphasizes coaching, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination with maintenance to maximize uptime.

You will oversee scheduling, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement initiatives, with a focus on long-term career growth in a leading masonry materials company.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage and develop employees.
• Solid computer skills and mechanical aptitude in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with PLCs, robotics, or automated systems is a plus.
• Growth mindset and desire to build a long-term career with General Shale.
• Higher education or supervisory/manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and motivate production teams to meet safety, quality, and production goals.
• Foster a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with safety policies and standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance to schedule and oversee equipment repairs for uptime.
• Analyze processes and use problem-solving to drive continuous improvement.
• Plan and organize production schedules to maximize equipment performance and workforce efficiency.
• Oversee production inventory accuracy, including counts and adjustments.
