Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow all Howmet safety regulations, work rules and department requirements.
• Record data manually or by computer; examine castings/products for conformance to specs.
• Observe machines for malfunctions; adjust/repair; estimate worker hours; explain policies and ensure EHS compliance.
• Conduct employee training; practice incident prevention; coordinate with Managers/EHS; conduct self-inspections.
• Explain specifications and orders; assign duties; adjust procedures to meet schedules.
• Suggest measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality.
• Analyze and resolve work problems; motivate workers to achieve goals.
• Maintain time and production records; coordinate material requisitions; confer with supervisors.
• Establish project plans for continuous improvement; advise on hiring/terminations uses.
• Resolve grievances; complete performance evaluations; administer corrective action.
• Train and mentor team leaders; adhere to attendance policies and overtime rules.
• Maintain measurement/metrics for departmental performance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing leadership in manufacturing excellence, ensuring customer satisfaction and continuous improvement of responsible areas’ performance measurements (quality, productivity, cycle time, delivery, and cash flow). Supervises and coordinates activities of team leaders and workers engaged in production.Establishes and coordinates departmental activities to meet objectives to coincide with plant goals and business metrics.

Anticipated Pay Range: $80K-90K per year. *Pay rates within this range are determined based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, etc.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:

• The IGT Production Supervisor is required to follow all Howmet safety regulations, work rules and all departmental specific requirements.
• The IGT Production Supervisor will record data either manually or by computer as required. Examine castings and products at various stages of processing procedures for conformance to both internal and external specifications.
• Observes machines and equipment for malfunction and orders adjustments or repairs and directs workers to adjust or repair. Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Explains company policies to employees and assures compliance with EHS responsibilities.
• Conducts employee training, practices incident prevention techniques, facilitates between Managers, EHS resources, employees and conducts self-inspections with verification regarding compliance.
• Explains specifications, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Maintains time and production records.
• Estimates, provides requisitions for, and inspects materials. Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
• Establishes project plans and coordinates activities for continuous improvement initiatives. Makes recommendations for employee status (hiring / terminations and promotions of employees.
• Resolves grievances and employee relations issues as they arise. Completes performance evaluations on his/her employees as required. Administers employee corrective action for his/her employees.
• Responsible for training and mentoring team leaders for their individual development. Must comply with all company attendance policies and guidelines; this includes, but is not limited to, regular attendance and occasional overtime.
• Maintains measurement/metrics for departmental performance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
