Job summary

Pilgrim’s Pride Corp seeks a Production Supervisor – MSC to ensure procedures drive maximum productivity while meeting customer specs. You will oversee reporting for the area and support a 3rd shift operation.

Key requirements include 1+ year supervisory experience, leadership of 20+ staff, strong communication, and willingness to work flexible hours. Poultry/food industry background is a plus.

Production Supervisor – MSC

General Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring all procedures are followed to achieve the highest productivity in a cost-efficient manner while meeting customer specifications. Ensure all reporting requirements for the area of supervision. Must be willing to work 3rd shift.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Trains and provides an environment for employees to achieve their maximum quality and productivity in their positions.
• Plans and schedules manpower, materials, products, and machines to effectively utilize policies and procedures to maintain safety, quality, and overall employee satisfaction.
• Manages employee performance, providing positive and/or corrective feedback.
• Promotes department and company goodwill through proactive employee communication and involvement.
• Investigates, with other departments, areas of quality improvement, cost reduction, method improvement, yield control, and equipment maintenance; provides suggestions.
• Promotes safety throughout the area where the crew is working.

Basic Skills & Qualifications:

• 1 or more years of previous supervisory experience.
• Experience in poultry or food industry is a plus.
• Previous leadership experience with 20 or more employees.
• Effective communication both orally and in writing.
• Capable of independent decision making.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Must be able to work assigned hours/days, including occasional weekends, as required.

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED; College Degree in related field preferred.
