Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Production Supervisor for our Farmington Hills, MI manufacturing operation on the 3rd shift (11:00 PM-7:00 AM). You will lead daily production activities, manage a team, and focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in production with at least 2 years in leadership, and a Bachelor's degree is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, machinery operations, and quality control practices.
• Familiarity with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the production team responsible for operating machinery, assembling products, performing quality checks, and packaging goods for shipment, providing guidance, coaching, training, and ongoing support.
• Monitor production output and team performance to meet established targets for quantity, quality, efficiency, and production deadlines.
• Coordinate work processes across shifts and departments, partnering with production planning to help ensure appropriate staffing and materials are available to meet operational requirements.
• Oversee inventory levels within the assigned production area to support production needs while avoiding shortages, excess inventory, and unnecessary delays.
• Proactively identify equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance or engineering teams when repairs or preventive maintenance are needed to minimize production downtime.
• Oversee quality control checks and collaborate with quality assurance teams to help ensure products meet established quality standards.
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and quality policies and reinforce 5S principles—Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain to support a clean, safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Encourage and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and complete required production documentation accurately and on time, including shift reports, inventory logs, and safety audits.
