Job summary

Cérélia North America is seeking a Production Supervisor for the Hazelwood, MO facility to lead daily operations in a fast-paced, GMP environment. You will manage shift performance, coach frontline staff, and drive safety, quality, and productivity across multiple areas.

Join a growing team within our Frozen Breakfast unit, partner with Maintenance and FSQA, and ensure compliance with all EHS standards while meeting production targets and continuous improvement goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, business, operations management, or similar
  • Lean Six Sigma experience demonstrated by a major improvement project
  • Ability to interface with plant personnel, contractors, and cross-functional groups
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and quality systems, finance, SPC, and KPI management
  • Demonstrated leadership in safety and quality compliance
  • Ability to operate in volatile, complex environments with urgency
  • Strong influencing and communication skills across all levels
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite applications
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Ability to lead a team-based decision process
  • CPG industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own shift performance including safety, quality, throughput, labor efficiency, and waste
  • Lead daily shift startup, execution, and handoff for consistency across shifts
  • Monitor run rates, output, and downtime; escalate issues quickly
  • Drive adherence to standard work, SOPs, and GMP requirements
  • Ensure product quality meets weight, appearance, and packaging standards
  • Partner with Maintenance to ensure equipment uptime and rapid response
  • Enforce safety standards and EHS compliance
  • Lead and develop front-line employees through coaching and clear performance expectations
  • Ensure proper staffing to meet production targets
  • Drive labor efficiency and minimize waste, including material giveaway and rework
  • Daily team communication via shift huddles with clear performance expectations
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity
  • Maintain accurate reporting of shift performance and KPIs
  • Collaborate with FSQA, Maintenance, and Warehouse for smooth operations
  • Hold team members accountable for performance, behavior, and attendance
  • Assist onboarding and training of new employees
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Position Profile

Cérélia's newly established Frozen Breakfast Business Unit is driving an ambitious growth strategy, backed by two manufacturing facilities: US Waffle in Liberty, SC, and in Hazelwood, MO. To effectively support the rapid scaling of operations at our state-of-the-art Hazelwood facility, Cérélia is seeking a dynamic and skilled Production Supervisor to join our team in Hazelwood, MO

Primary Responsibilities
  • Own shift performance, including safety, quality, throughput, labor efficiency, and waste
  • Lead daily shift startup, execution, and handoff to ensure consistency across all shifts
  • Actively manage line performance in real time, including:
  • Monitoring run rates and output
  • Identifying and addressing downtime
  • Escalating issues quickly when needed
  • Drive adherence to standard work, operating procedures, and GMP requirements
  • Ensure all products meet defined quality standards, including weight, appearance, and packaging requirements
  • Partner closely with Maintenance to ensure equipment uptime and rapid response to issues
  • Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all EHS requirements
  • Lead and develop front-line employees through coaching, accountability, and clear performance expectations
  • Ensure proper staffing and positioning of employees to meet production targets
  • Drive labor efficiency and minimize waste, including material giveaway and rework
  • Conduct daily communication with team members, including:
  • Shift huddles
  • Clear expectations for performance

  • Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity
  • Maintain accurate and timely reporting of shift performance, including downtime, output, and key KPIs
