Job summary

Mountville Mills, Inc. is seeking a Plant Leader to oversee all production operations in Dalton, GA. The role focuses on achieving shift metrics, enhancing safety, productivity, and quality while controlling operating costs.

You will drive LEAN initiatives and develop the manufacturing team. The position requires 5+ years in manufacturing with leadership experience and proficiency in Excel/Teams. Working in a manufacturing environment, you must comply with PPE and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and Teams functionalities.

Responsibilities

• Lead all production related manufacturing operations.
• Meet shift metric goals, policies, and drive safety, productivity, quality, and cost improvements.
• Utilize LEAN methodologies to analyze performance and create countermeasures.
• Lead labor relations and team development to maintain a strong culture.
• Collaborate with purchasing, finance, engineering, maintenance, quality, and HR to optimize value streams.
• Report to the Plant Operations Manager.

Job description

• Lead all production related manufacturing operations.
• Meet shift metric goals, adhere to policies and make decisions focused on continuously improving safety, productivity, quality, and controlling operating costs.
• Utilize LEAN methodologies to analyze plant performance and create countermeasures when needed to correct underachievement.
• Lead labor relations and team development to maintain the strongest team culture possible.
• Collaborate with operations support functions including purchasing, finance, engineering, maintenance, quality, and human resources to ensure the value streams perform at their highest possible levels.
• Report to the Plant Operations Manager.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Teams functionalities
• 5+ years manufacturing experience required.
• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience preferred.

Working Conditions: In addition to office work, this position requires working in a manufacturing environment where personal protective equipment is necessary.

Shifts available: 2nd (2pm-10pm)

Compensation: Salary will be based upon qualifications, experience, and education.
