Job summary

Vista Packaging & Logistics is seeking a results-driven Second Shift Production Supervisor to lead daily operations on the production floor in Columbus. You will supervise and develop a team, ensure safety and quality, and meet output targets in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or logistics, strong leadership and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with production KPIs plus ERP systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, packaging, or logistics.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing production KPIs and performance metrics.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production/ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all second-shift production activities to meet daily and weekly output targets.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of production associates to drive performance and engagement.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor production metrics (efficiency, downtime, scrap, etc.) and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with first shift leadership to ensure smooth shift transitions and continuity.
• Maintain product quality standards and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
• Identify and resolve operational issues in real time to minimize disruptions.
• Partner with maintenance, quality, and warehouse teams to support overall operations.
• Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and timekeeping for shift employees.
• Train new employees and reinforce standard operating procedures (SOPs).
