Responsibilities

• Maximize production efficiency and ensure high-quality output based on product and equipment understanding.
• Support issue resolution via root cause analysis and permanent countermeasures.
• Use problem-solving tools to deliver rapid, sustainable improvements.
• Assist process engineering with part processing and troubleshooting to reduce scrap and cycle times.
• Ensure adherence to standard data collection, documentation, and reporting processes.
• Coordinate efficient use of raw materials in production.
• Manage daily operations using KPIs, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
• Support and drive safety, environmental, quality, cost, and productivity objectives.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Materials, Maintenance and other departments to resolve issues.

Job description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for Battery Module Assembly and Battery System Assembly. The incumbent also develops, coordinates, and participates in productivity and quality improvement. This role will work for MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC. (MNAe).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Based on understanding the product and equipment, maximizing production efficiency and producing high-quality products is necessary.
• Support issue resolution through root cause analysis, implementing permanent countermeasures, and an environment of continuous learning and improvement
• Uses appropriate problem-solving tools to provide rapid improvement with sustainable results
• Assist process engineering with part processing and troubleshooting for ongoing scrap reduction, cycle time reduction, and downtime reduction.
• Ensures adherence to standard processes for data collection, documentation, and reporting
• Coordinate the efficient use of raw materials and ingredients in making products.
• Manage daily operations through KPI, problem-solving, and driving continuous improvement to achieve the KPI targets.
• Support and manage continuous improvement activities in safety, environmental, quality, cost, efficiency, and productivity objectives
• Partner and Coordinate with Engineering, Materials, Maintenance, and other internal departments to resolve issues and concerns.
• Coach and mentor the Team Members on standard work, problem-solving, and continuous improvement and effectively manage their performance
• Ensure production teams utilize standardized work and consistent work practices across shifts and areas.

Preferred Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent manufacturing experience
• 6+ year experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting
• Battery Systems manufacturing background preferred
• Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience developing and managing Team Members
