Altium Packaging in Sherman, Texas, seeks a Production Supervisor to lead nightly operations from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and employee engagement. The role requires guiding a team of hourly production staff and ensuring readiness for the next shift.

You will coach, develop, and deploy staffing plans, monitor production metrics, and drive continuous improvement while keeping customer commitments and adherence to procedures.

Supervisors are expected to arrive before the start of the shift to prepare for daily operations and remain after shift end to ensure a smooth transition and communication handoff with the incoming team.What You'll DoAs the Production Supervisor, you will lead production operations while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement goals are met.Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop hourly production employeesFoster a culture focused on safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvementConduct employee training, performance discussions, and development planningBuild employee engagement and promote a positive work environmentSupport recruiting, onboarding, and workforce development initiativesProduction & Operational ExcellenceOversee daily production activities to ensure schedule attainment and customer commitments are metMonitor productivity, efficiency, quality, and waste metricsDrive continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, and production performanceCoordinate staffing, scheduling, and workflow to maximize operational effectivenessEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standardsTechnical & Mechanical ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary production floor leader and technical resource for operatorsTroubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtimeMake basic machine adjustments and assist with equipment setup as neededUtilize hand tools and mechanical troubleshooting skills to support operationsCoordinate preventive maintenance activities with the maintenance teamHelp identify root causes of equipment and process issues and implement corrective actionsNo experience with our specific equipment?
