Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates employees, monitors and evaluates their performance; ensures safe operation of equipment; provides counseling, records, and disciplines as necessary. Develops Production leads to oversee daily routines in the absence of production supervisors.
2. Conducts pre-shift meetings, communicates changes, company information, and planning to employees each shift.
3. Attends Tier Meetings as directed by leadership and provides information on Tier boards.
4. Creates training plans for new hires and supports onboarding processes.
5. Identifies potential production issues and takes corrective actions.
6. Maintains an active presence on the production floor, supporting employees and building positive relationships.
7. Maintains shift reports and ensures availability of necessary supplies and materials.
8. Manages staffing levels, interviews, and recommends hiring for forming employees.
9. Creates and adjusts shift schedules based on production needs.
10. Collaborates with team members to develop improvements and cost-saving ideas.
11. Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
12. Ensures compliance with policies, rules, and safety regulations.
13. Oversees processes, equipment, safety, housekeeping, and quality standards during the shift.
14. Manages budgets and business planning for the department, setting and meeting goals.
15. Ensures completion of SPC data and production reports.
16. Supervises 18-30 employees, including hiring, training, performance appraisals, and discipline.
17. Performs other duties as assigned.
18. Works 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 rotation, 5:45 am - 6:00 pm.
