Job summary

Lippert is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor in Waxahachie, TX to lead shop teams in a fast-paced production environment. You will plan and assign work, implement procedures and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and efficiency while coordinating with Engineering and HR on payroll, training and performance reviews.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, 3–5 years of leadership, 5+ years in project management, and experience with MRP and MS Office; strong communication

Responsibilities

  • Ensure product is produced and delivered on time.
  • Oversee production flow of assigned lines.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on changes or updates to customer orders.
  • Supervise the assigned team in Operations, Production, Safety, Lean, Quality and Eng with continuous improvement and development.
  • Supervise production planning, instrument manufacturing, purchasing and shipping departments.
  • Handle administrative tasks including time-off requests, evaluations, rate changes, and corrective actions.
  • Initiate interviews, facility tours and employee recognition programs.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources on payroll and edits.
  • Ensure Lippert Components Quality standards are followed.

Summary/Objective

The Manufacturing Supervisor position is responsible for supervising shop employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

Required Education And Experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Candidate has participated in the Lippert Components “LIT” program and received very positive reports from all areas.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required, 1-3 years.
  • MRP experience, 1-2 years
  • Possess good leaderships skills, 3-5 years
  • Possess conflict resolution skills, 4-6 years
  • Project Management, 5+ years
  • Critical Thinking and problem-solving skills, 2-4 years
Essential Functions

  • Ensure product is produced and delivered on time.

  • Work with Engineering on any changes and or updates to customer orders.
  • Responsible for assigned team in the areas of Operations, Production, Safety, Lean, Quality, and Engineering with continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Supervise production planning, instrument manufacturing, purchasing and shipping departments.
  • Complete and submit organizational paperwork to include days off requests, employee evaluations / rate changes, and corrective actions.
  • Initiate the interview process, facility tours, and the employee recognition program.
  • Work directly with Human Resources on payroll and edits.
  • Responsible for ensuring LCI quality standards are followed.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The Team Member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Travel will be minimal to none and would be primarily local during the business day.
