Job summary

International Paper in Waterloo, IA is seeking a Corrugator Supervisor to lead a night shift in the production of corrugated board, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.

You will supervise one shift of hourly workers, train and direct activities, evaluate performance, and promote teamwork while maintaining a safe environment and a high-quality product. Effective communication with crew, supervisors, plant management, and customers is essential; some additional duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in the corrugated packaging industry preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, supervisory or manager role required.
• Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervisor to one shift of hourly employees and lead safety, quality, productivity and engagement.
• Plan, train, assign, and direct work; evaluate employee performance; reward and discipline employees; promote safety, quality production and teamwork; resolve conflicts.
• Lead and motivate employees by setting an example of superior behavior, attitude and performance to work efficiently and effectively, while ensuring a safe work environment and a quality product.
• Effectively communicate operational information in oral and written form to crew members, supervisors, plant management, office personnel and customers/vendors.
• Actively promote and ensure compliance with safety, quality and other programs and initiatives used within the organization.
• Primarily night shift; other duties as required.

Multiple factors, including individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP's annual incentive plan.

The Job You Will Perform
