Job summary

Rinker Materials is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our concrete production facility in New York. You will manage plant team members, schedule production, and ensure safety compliance while meeting customer specifications.

Collaborate with plant manager, sales, engineering, and maintenance to optimize output, maintain inventory, and drive continuous improvement across box culvert, pre-stress, pipe and wet cast lines.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree preferred.
• 3-5 years’ supervisory experience including team building, facilitation, mentoring and follow-through.
• Knowledge of production management in the concrete industry or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of large machine operation, construction of infrastructure and shipping and fulfillment.
• Ability to read and apply information from plans, blueprints, work instructions and equipment manuals.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills and professional demeanor.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to travel 5-10%.

About The Role

• Oversees daily operations, ensuring efficient concrete production. Responsibilities include managing production schedules, supervising staff, and enforcing safety protocols.

• Strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to present oneself and communicate in a professional, positive, and courteous manner at all times with all levels of team members.
• Ability to provide clear and concise verbal instructions along with the ability to listen and ask questions to understand points made by others.
• General computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and database systems.
• Ability to read and apply information from plans, blueprints, work instructions and equipment manuals.
• Mathematical skills and mechanical abilities to diagnose and solve problems
• Demonstrated pattern of positive attitude, strong work ethic and dedication.
• Must have a valid drivers’ license and ability to travel 5-10 percent of the time to locations and/or meetings.
