Job summary

US Farathane Corporation in Sterling Heights, Michigan, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing teams and manage shift operations, while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes enforcing procedures (TS-16949, Quality Manual), coaching staff, tracking labor and inventory, and driving continual process improvements in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, 2–5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent.
• Automotive operations management experience preferred.
• High energy and experience in inspiring and motivating cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all manufacturing personnel and non-manufacturing personnel when their direct report is out of the building.
• Facilitate daily shift operations and ensure safety, conduct and discipline.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA safety procedures and company policies (e.g., TS–16949, Quality Manual).
• Investigate issues involving hourly employees and monitor production equipment for max performance.
• Directly supervise and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; handle disputes and problems.
• Record labor, scrap, and finished parts to maintain inventory.

US Farathane is seeking a Production Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervision of all manufacturing personnel; and all non-manufacturing personnel when their direct report is out of the building.
• Facilitator of all daily shift operations.
• Responsible for all personnel safety, conduct and discipline.
• Responsible to ensure all internal and OSHA required safety procedures are followed.
• Responsible to ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures. (i.e., TS–16949, Quality Manual, etc.).
• Initial investigator of all issues involving hourly employees.
• Monitor all production equipment for maximum performance.
• Monitor all personnel for performance and adherence to procedure.
• Overseer of all on the job training.
• Enforcement of Production standards.
• Enforcement of Quality standards.
• Enforcement of Material handling standards.
• Enforcement of Housekeeping standards.
• Ensure proper and timely application of all process improvements.
• Record and enter labor, scrap, and finished parts to maintain inventory.
• Directly supervises employees in the manufacturing department
• Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• Related Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; two to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous automotive operations management experience preferred.
• High energy and experience in inspiring and motivating cross-functional teams.
