Job summary

Alliance Machine Systems International, LLC is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations, ensure safety, efficiency, and on-time production of high-quality products, and drive continuous improvement across teams.

You will provide direct leadership to production staff, collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and planning, and apply lean methods to improve processes and performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Operations or an equivalent combination of education and leadership experience.
  • Leadership experience in a manufacturing or operations environment is required.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production operations to meet ship dates and customer promises.
  • Drive operational excellence by designing processes, evaluating results and implementing improvements.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts using lean tools and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ensure safety policies are followed and quality standards are applied.
  • Coach and develop team members, and support escalation of issues when needed.

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating daily manufacturing operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely production of high-quality products. This role provides direct leadership to production team members, drives operational excellence, and fosters a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement. This role requires leadership, strategic thinking and problem solving.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead daily production operations: Plans and forecasts production activities and priorities and establishes manpower requirements based on upcoming workloads to achieve the customer promised ship date.
  • Drive operational excellence: Ability to design processes, evaluate results and drive solutions to improve the business.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts using various lean tools.
  • Collaborate across functions: Works closely with manufacturing engineering, engineering, supply chain, production planning, etc.
  • Supports the quick resolution of project issues. If necessary, using technical experts or elevate the issues to the attention of higher levels of management.
  • Requisitions materials and other equipment to achieve schedules.
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Develop and lead team members: Manage, Review and evaluate performance of staff members by providing appropriate advice, training, and guidance.
  • Coach employees and leads through improvement efforts.
  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are enforced and improved.
  • Executes to quality standards and understands how to apply quality management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of leadership experience in Manufacturing or Operations. Or Associates degree with 3 years of leadership experience in Manufacturing or Operations.

Certifications

Lean Green Belt – Preferred

Preferred Skills

Language: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, Engineering drawings, etc. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as needed for the supervisory area assigned.

Computer: Ability to use computer equipped with business systems and databases. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Physical Requirements
  • Work occasional evenings and weekends to meet deadlines.
  • Sit at a desk or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Move about the office and factory with occasional lifting, bending and reaching.
  • Dial, hear and respond to telephone calls and inquiries.
  • Communicate effectively (visually and verbally) with internal and external contacts via email, phone, etc.
  • Meet requirements of daily attendance on job for a full, continuous work schedule.
Compensation

$85,000-95,000 (DOE)
