Job summary

Alliance Machine Systems International, LLC is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations, drive lean improvements, and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet ship dates and quality standards.

The role requires leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving to foster safety and continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree with leadership experience in manufacturing/operations.
  • Lean Green Belt - Preferred.
  • Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret operating documents and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production operations: plan and forecast production activities to meet ship dates.
  • Drive operational excellence: design processes and lead continuous improvement with lean tools.
  • Collaborate across functions: partner with manufacturing engineering, engineering, supply chain, and planning.
  • Resolve project issues quickly, escalating to management when needed.
  • Requisition materials and equipment to meet schedules.
  • Coordinate activities with other supervisors across departments.
  • Develop and lead team members; provide coaching, training, and guidance.
  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed and improved.
  • Ensure work meets quality standards and apply quality management principles.

Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating daily manufacturing operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely production of high-quality products. This role provides direct leadership to production team members, drives operational excellence, and fosters a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.

This role requires leadership, strategic thinking and problem solving.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • - Lead daily production operations: Plans and forecasts production activities and priorities and establishes manpower requirements based on upcoming workloads to achieve the customer promised ship date.
  • - Drive operational excellence: Ability to design processes, evaluate results and drive solutions to improve the business. Lead continuous improvement efforts using various lean tools.
  • - Collaborate across functions: Works closely with manufacturing engineering, engineering, supply chain, production planning, etc.
  • - Supports the quick resolution of project issues. If necessary, using technical experts or elevate the issues to the attention of higher levels of management.
  • - Requisitions materials and other equipment to achieve schedules.
  • - Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • - Develop and lead team members: Manage, Review and evaluate performance of staff members by providing appropriate advice, training, and guidance.
  • - Coach employees and leads through improvement efforts.
  • - Ensure safety policies and procedures are enforced and improved.
  • - Executes to quality standards and understands how to apply quality management.
  • - Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree with 2 years of leadership experience in Manufacturing or Operations. Or Associates degree with 3 years of leadership experience in Manufacturing or Operations.

Certifications:

Lean Green Belt - Preferred

Skills:

Language: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, Engineering drawings, etc. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as needed for the supervisory area assigned.

Computer: Ability to use computer equipped with business systems and databases. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Physical Requirements:
  • - Work occasional evenings and weekends to meet deadlines.

  • - Dial, hear and respond to telephone calls and inquiries.
  • - Communicate effectively (visually and verbally) with internal and external contacts via email, phone, etc.
  • - Meet requirements of daily attendance on job for a full, continuous work schedule.
Compensation:

Compensation: $85,000-95,000 (DOE)
