Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Production Team Leader to drive operational excellence in our Virginia manufacturing site. You will lead daily production activities, ensure safe, on-time output, and balance people leadership with resource planning.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or Business and 2–5 years of supervisory manufacturing experience; transformer coil winding experience is strongly preferred, along with SAP/Kronos and PowerPoint familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Transformer manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with transformer coil winding strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with ERP and workforce management systems such as SAP and Kronos.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
• Organize and allocate resources effectively to meet production schedules and volume requirements.
• Drive capacity planning and resource optimization for assigned production areas.
• Monitor production performance and implement actions to improve efficiency and product quality.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve critical product, process, and equipment issues.
• Identify opportunities for equipment, facility, and process improvements and support implementation activities.
• Coach, motivate, and develop team members to build a highly engaged and skilled workforce.

• Familiarity with ERP and workforce management systems such as SAP and Kronos, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
