Job summary

The Supervisor will utilize leadership, operations experience, and communication to identify and convert improvement opportunities related to people, process, and systems. The ideal candidate must be self-driven and demonstrate a commitment to safety, manufacturing excellence, and quality. Will also possess strong interpersonal communication and technical skills, as well as being capable of leading transformation initiatives.

What You Will Do

• Lead an operating team in compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality.
• Foster a culture based on our Principle-Based Management (PBM) Philosophy.
• Drive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively identify hazards and implement appropriate mitigating strategies; investigate incidents and participate in the resolution of causes.
• Coach, train, and develop operations personnel in safety, quality, and production.
• Ensure best practices are followed for the minimization of waste at machine centers.
• Address key issues and concerns and interact with employees from other departments to ensure quality, on‑time production.
• Plan, assign, and direct work for all hourly production employees; appraise performance and provide feedback as needed; assist in resolving complaints; hold employees accountable as needed; communicate issues and results daily.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience supervising employees within a manufacturing, production, industrial, or military environment, and demonstrated experience coaching and developing a team.
• Experience working in the corrugated packaging/containerboard industry on a corrugator OR in a converting operation.
• Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
