Job summary

Spectrum Control is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee production workers, coordinate activities, and ensure customer service for internal and external customers. You will plan assignments based on equipment, material, and supply availability, and monitor performance to meet schedules.

Responsibilities include reviewing processes, inspecting products for conformance, guiding machine setup, contributing to annual manufacturing plans, and supporting cost-saving initiatives with Engineering

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in technical or process manufacturing.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, J-STD-001 and IPC-610 knowledge/certification.

  • Coordinate, plan and review employee activities based on equipment, material and supply availability.
  • Monitor equipment performance and request maintenance as needed to ensure production capability.
  • Review and adjust production schedule to meet budgetary and shipping requirements.
  • Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct machine setup/adjustments.

They review and plan employee activities and job assignments based on equipment, material and supply availability. They are primarily responsible for maintaining effective customer service for all internal and external customers.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Coordinate, plan and review employee activities and job assignments based on equipment, material and supply availabilityMonitor equipment performance and requests maintenance as needed to ensure optimal production capabilitiesMonitor performance of staff and corrects or modifies production schedule to ensure product meets budgetary and shipping requirements and communicate product completion information to manager or customer serviceReview and recommend improvements to production processes by evaluating production, production lot failures and customer returns with Quality and Process EngineeringInspects products to verify conformance to specifications and direct set-up and adjustment of machinesParticipate in the development of annual manufacturing plans, cost saving measures on production processes and/or materials and provide input to quality improvement teams and product release teamsOTHER JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:Review and coordinate SPC use and/or implementation on production floor with engineering and production staff.Evaluate employee performance and complete progress and performance assessments.Address employee concerns and solve or work with HR to handle.Resolve issues regarding job performance and/or other job- related problems by enacting disciplinary action.Responsible for advising and making recommendations regarding hiring, training, promotions and termination of employees.Track absenteeism and timekeeping and handle issues with such.Develop, train and motivate team to ensure conformance.Execute processes and methods as developed by engineering.Review product and completes documentation to ensure no unqualified processes are released to production.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Associate's DegreeExperience Years: 3-5 yearsExperience Type: Technical or process manufacturing OR equivalent combination of education and experienceDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Operate plant equipmentAdapt to new methodsUse Microsoft OfficeRead engineering drawingsMaintain confidentialityKnowledge of ISO 9001J-STD-001 and IPC-610 knowledge and certificationWORK ENVIRONMENT: Office & Manufacturing BasedDIRECT REPORTS: Supervisory Role with Direct ReportsEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
