Job summary

CAC I International Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor in Orlando to lead day-to-day testing of photonics systems builds and optimize assembly processes.

You will mentor a diverse team, manage manpower, training and performance, and ensure on-time delivery within budget while upholding safety and quality standards. The role requires a BS in Engineering, 10+ years in DoD electro-optical manufacturing, EVMS experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related degree required.
• Minimum 10 years of management experience in complex electro-optical DoD production.
• Expert knowledge of high-volume electro-optical manufacturing, including assembly, test, supply chain, MRP and IMS Scheduling.
• Experience with Earned Value Management; ability to set and monitor budgets.
• Experience developing manufacturing labor and material proposals under DFAR regulations.
• Knowledge of Bills of Materials, configuration management and change control.

The Opportunity

• The Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing the day-to-day testing of our photonics systems builds. Our team is responsible for delivering high-quality products on time, while controlling costs and meeting program objectives. The Production Supervisor will spearhead our efforts to optimize and streamline the assembly build process and staff training.
• As a member of our team, you will directly impact on our business performance by ensuring efficient, high-quality assembly operations while balancing multiple priorities, foster team collaboration, and continuously improve the assembly processes. Your expertise and decision-making will be instrumental in driving our company's success and maintaining our competitive edge in the market.

Responsibilities

• Optimize production manufacturing quality, timelines, and costs through data-driven management strategies.
• Assesses issues and develops mitigation plans to meet productivity, quality, cost, and delivery goals.
• Develop and implement innovative approaches to consistently meet or exceed delivery commitments.
• Lead and mentor a diverse team of salaried and hourly staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Oversee comprehensive workforce management, including manpower planning, training, strategic hiring, professional development programs and performance evaluations.
• Align production efforts with broader program goals and company objectives.
• Corrective Action Planning.
• Willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Must be willing to work onsite.

Qualifications

Required:

• BS in Engineering or related degree.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Minimum 10 years of management experience in complex electro-optical DoD production
• Expert Knowledge of all aspects of high volume electro-optical manufacturing including assembly, test, manufacturing and test engineering, supply chain, material planning, MRP and IMS Scheduling.
• Expert knowledge and experience in Earned Value Management; have ability to set, monitor and adhere to budgets.
• Expert Knowledge in developing manufacturing labor and material proposals in compliance with DFAR regulations.
• Expert knowledge of Bills of Material and configuration management and change control processes.
• Experience leading a Multifunctional team.
• Knowledge of tracking budgets and providing cost estimates.
• Practical experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing and Manufacturing Experience in a DoD Aerospace Manufacturing environment
• Knowledgeable in AS9100.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance.
• Knowledge of Microsoft tools Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

• Prior experience in photonics manufacturing of assemblies with optical fiber
• Prior experience with new product introduction to manufacturing.
• Demonstrated expertise in Infor enterprise software.

The Proposed Salary Range For This Position Is

$71,500 - $150,200
