Overview

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is hiring a Production Supervisor. The role leads hourly manufacturing employees in a fast‑paced production environment to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives while ensuring compliance with company policies, quality standards, and environmental requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Leadership – promote and maintain a safe work environment, conduct safety meetings, audits, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Production Management – supervise daily operations to meet schedules and customer requirements, monitor labor utilization, machine performance, and production efficiency, and ensure production targets and KPIs are achieved.
  • Quality Assurance – ensure products meet established quality standards, perform root cause analysis, monitor scrap, rework, and first‑pass yield metrics, and support quality audits.
  • Employee Leadership & Development – coach and develop production employees, conduct performance evaluations, address employee relations issues, and support training and succession planning.
  • Continuous Improvement – lead Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement activities, identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance, and utilize data and metrics for operational decisions.
  • Communication & Coordination – collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Human Resources; participate in production planning meetings; communicate expectations and performance results to the team; and escalated operational issues as needed.
Candidate Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 3‑5 years of manufacturing leadership experience supervising hourly production employees.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, quality systems, and production processes.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing systems.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in metal fabrication, welding, coating, roll forming, or automated manufacturing operations.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems and production metrics reporting.
  • Bilingual communication skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk throughout manufacturing facilities for extended periods; lift up to 40 pounds occasionally; work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, moving equipment, and varying environmental conditions; wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
