Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years of previous experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing setting required.
• Strong communication skills; written and verbal.
• Ability and willingness to cooperate with co-workers and other supervisors/managers of the production team.
• Ability to work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Accomplishes production objectives by onboarding and orientation, assigning, and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions and adhering to policies and procedures.
• Meets production operational standards by implementing production, quality, and customer service standards.
• Meets production financial standards by monitoring costs and implementing corrective actions.
• Completes production requirements by expediting work results, monitoring progress, and problem-solving.
• Improves workflow by eliminating stoppages, analyzing delays, and trying new methods.
• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing the standards of procedure and regulation compliances.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Accomplishes manufacturing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

Spherion is hiring production supervisors for our client in Paulding, OH! The successful supervisor will assist their operation by completing production plans, improving methods, and supervising plant staff. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities
