Job summary

Russell Stover Chocolates is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a 30+ member team in our Kansas facility, overseeing production, quality, and safety to meet demand with efficiency.

You will review schedules, train staff, and ensure products meet the "Only the Finest" standard while maintaining cost controls. Strong leadership and MS Office proficiency are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently, with or without an accommodation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power Point.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions.
  • A team player with good organizational & analytical skills.
  • Must be results-driven with good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership, organizational and mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure assigned work area is achieving production goals.
  • Review schedules, reports, plans and objectives.
  • Training, counseling and developing employees to perform numerous duties in the manufacturing process.
  • Providing clear instructions to direct reports and communicating performance to goals/objectives.
  • Ensuring work is being completed in a manner that meets or exceeds quality, sanitation and safety standards.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure product quality and maintain compliance with food safety standards.
  • Complete and follow FSQA training and programs to comply with regulatory requirements, ensure consumer safety, and support the plant’s food safety and quality objectives.
  • Promptly report and take appropriate action on any observed or potential food safety hazards, process deviations, or non-conformities by notifying the designated plant supervisor, in accordance with your role and responsibilities.
  • Actively contributes to the continuous improvement of the company’s Food Safety Culture through engagement and actions aligned with your role.
  • Fostering a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Managing PTO and time off requests of department.

A day in the life…

As the Production Supervisor, you will have a direct role in the chocolate production process from beginning to end. You will be responsible for ensuring each piece of candy that comes out of our facility is "Only the Finest" quality that our customers have grown to expect. You will make sure the appropriate products are produced in the quantities required, ensuring high standards for quality at the lowest possible cost while maintaining a safe work environment. It is your responsibility to directly supervise more than 30 team members at any given time.
