Job summary

Nestlé Hereford factory is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a frontline team, providing guidance to keep the crew engaged and safe while ensuring top-quality pet food production. The position requires 12-hour overnight shifts and a HS diploma with 1+ years of supervision and 2+ years of production experience in manufacturing or related settings.

As a Production Supervisor, you are a front-line leader of our organization and the face of our company with your team. You will provide guidance and direction to keep your team safe and engaged, while ensuring that food quality is to the highest level. The role will require hands-on operation as well as strategic decision making and team member coaching and discipline when required.

*Note: Candidate must be available for 12-hour shifts on overnights for this role.

  • Work to provide a safe work environment for all team members and improve our safety culture through your actions and leadership with your team.
  • Conduct safety observations and coaching throughout assigned shift to identify safe behaviors from team members and correct any unsafe work practices or situations.
  • Lead daily safety "Tool Box" meetings with departmental staff and elevate department safety concerns/issue to Production Manager when needed.
  • Coach and develop a team that is empowered to make the right decisions in safety, quality and production needs.
  • Develop ownership from team members in meeting and exceeding targets for Safety, Quality and Production.
  • Recognize and reward individuals and their team for contributions to the goal of safe, quality production.
  • Ensure we are producing quality pet food by meeting all quality attribute requirements of the product during the production runs.
  • Meet all daily goals for your areas and work to continuously improve with your team in areas that are falling short.
REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1+ years of people leadership or supervisory experience
  • 2+ years of production experience in a manufacturing, technical, military or related environment

The approximate pay range for this position is $66,000 to $106,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
