Job summary

PureCut Poultry Co. is seeking an experienced Production Shift Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations at our poultry processing facility.

This hands-on floor role requires strong leadership to keep shifts running safely, efficiently and on schedule. You'll supervise production staff, ensure proper staffing, execute the production plan, monitor quality and yields, and collaborate with maintenance and QA to uphold food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in poultry processing and supervising hourly staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise production employees on the shift.
• Ensure lines are staffed and ready to operate on time.
• Execute the daily production schedule and meet production goals.
• Monitor throughput, yields, downtime, labor and product quality.
• Identify production problems quickly and take action to keep product moving.
• Work closely with Maintenance, QA/Food Safety.
• Maintain a safe working environment and reinforce safe work practices.
• Ensure compliance with USDA, food safety, sanitation and company requirements.
• Train, coach and develop team members.
• Address attendance, performance and employee issues appropriately.
• Maintain accurate production, staffing and operational records.
• Look for ways to improve efficiency, reduce waste and control costs.
• Communicate clearly with the incoming/outgoing shift and plant leadership.
• Be visible and actively engaged on the production floor.

PureCut Poultry Co. is looking for an experienced, hands-on Production Shift Supervisor to lead day-to-day production operations at our poultry processing facility. This is a floor leadership role. We’re looking for someone who knows poultry processing, knows how to lead people, and understands what it takes to keep a shift running safely, efficiently and on schedule.

What You’ll Do

As a Production Shift Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the people, production and performance of your assigned shift.

• Lead and supervise production employees throughout the shift
• Make sure production lines are properly staffed and ready to operate on time
• Execute the daily production schedule and meet production goals
• Monitor throughput, yields, downtime, labor and product quality

What We’re Looking For

Ideally, you have:

• Previous poultry processing or food manufacturing experience
• Previous supervisory, lead or production leadership experience
• A strong understanding of poultry plant operations
• Experience managing hourly production employees
• Knowledge of USDA, food safety and workplace safety requirements
• The ability to manage production goals while maintaining quality and safety
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer and production reporting skills
• The ability to work in a fast-paced processing environment

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Additional technical, vocational or college education is a plus.
