Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Gurdon, AR seeks a Production Supervisor to lead a wood products production team of 15-20 employees in a continuous manufacturing environment focused on injury-free operations. The role requires 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing and MS Office proficiency. An Associate’s degree in management is preferred. The position is on-site in a lumber mill.

• Monitoring product quality and providing direction to crew members to maximize efficiency.
• Promoting employee involvement, providing coaching, feedback, and direction as required.
• Assisting with troubleshooting production issues.
• Providing safety training to crew members and deliver training materials meaningfully.
• Providing coaching and performance management.
• Completing data entry responsibilities and generating reports timely and efficiently.

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Production Supervisor in our Lumber mill in Gurdon, AR. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading a wood products production team of 15-20 employees to work injury free/incident free in a continuous manufacturing environment consistent with management philosophy and framework. The Production Supervisor is also responsible for supervising and coordinating production efforts that result in sustained improvement in all associated work processes including environmental, health & safety (EHS) compliance, reliability, quality, production, and costs.

What You Will Do

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing or military environment (or 2 or more years as an hourly lead with GP)
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Must work a flexible work schedule

What Will Put You Ahead

• Associate’s degree in management
• Supervisory experience in wood product manufacturing or processing
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
