Champion Home Builders, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Lynn, AL plant. You will oversee manufacturing crews, ensure production schedules are met, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities include coordinating activities, interpreting blueprints, and optimizing processes. We seek strong leaders with manufacturing experience and a track record of teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising in a manufacturing environment or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret production requirements and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of workers constructing factory-built housing in the plant.
• Review blueprints to determine dimensions and requirements.
• Study production schedules and assign tasks to meet deadlines.
• Enforce safety policies and company procedures on the floor.
• Improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
• Suggest changes to working conditions and equipment to increase efficiency.
• Resolve work problems and assist staff in finding solutions.
• Motivate workers to achieve goals and maintain productivity.
• Track time cards and production records; assist with material estimates and inspections.
• Set up machines and equipment as required for production.

Summary

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in the construction of factory built housing within a manufacturing plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Examines blueprints to determine dimensions of structure.
• Studies production schedules and assigns employees as required to meet production schedules.
• Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Calculates time card totals and production records.
• Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.
• Sets up machines and equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises employees in the plant. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
