Job summary

Teledyne FLIR in Elkridge, MD is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a hands-on team responsible for manufacturing complex robotic systems and integrated mission systems. • Oversee the successful manufacturing of complex robotic systems as well as integrated mission systems in a fast paced, low volume/high mix manufacturing environment.
• Manage and motivate production staff while meeting safety, cost, delivery, and quality expectations for the business.
• Provide daily directions for production staff and act as a liaison between departments to communicate and eliminate productivity roadblocks.
• Daily interaction with Engineering department to discuss/resolve production or quality concerns.
• Attend and participate in meetings with senior leadership as required.
• Manage production staff through communication of job expectations, planning, monitoring, coaching, counseling, disciplining, and providing performance evaluations.

This person will need to utilize critical thinking, problem solving skills, and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
