Our company is currently searching a member to join our Production team as a Production Supervisor who will work to provide support across our plant. This position will work within a team of other production staff and will be based in our Dixon, IL office. This role will require candidates to be able to work 12-hour shifts. Selected supervisor will begin on an 8-hour schedule for training and support, but will then move into our 12-hour shift model.

Key Role and Responsibilities
  • Ensure all production lines are operating at proper speeds and proper output levels while adhering to company's established quality policies and productivity standards.
  • Ensure strict compliance and adherence to all established health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Work with Production Manager to assign personnel according to qualifications and establish shift schedules to meet production orders.
  • Comprehend production schedules and provide completion estimates based on manpower and equipment availability.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain machine functionality during shift.
  • Perform routine quality control procedures throughout shift, report defects or quality concerns to management.
  • Maintain accuracy of production reporting.
  • Ability to coach and train new hires on all machines and continually develop existing employees on building proficiency.
  • Proper understanding of raw materials and verify correct blend of materials for each product line.
  • Other duties may be assigned at times to meet facility and company needs.
Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years previous manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to work independently and has excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to read measuring devices.
  • Ability to supervise and lead team, promote teamwork, and champion company culture.
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment including forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • General computer skills including use of manufacturing software.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders regularly.
