Job summary

Clariant is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the 2nd shift at the Belen, NM site. You will manage the Dryer Operations and Desiccant Packaging teams, ensure plan adherence, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency improvements across the site.

You will coordinate staffing, training, and SOP development, while collaborating with Quality, ESHA, and Supply Chain teams to sustain productive operations and profitability.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Process, or Controls)
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP preferred

Responsibilities

• Staff and manage production on Dryer Operations and Desiccant Packaging Operations.
• Perform SAP transactions for production reporting and inventory reconciliation.
• Execute operations plans to achieve 100% production plan adherence.
• Align team work assignments with the planning schedule.
• Develop and motivate hourly employees per Clariant principles; implement SOPs.
• Lead training and skill-matrix development; create/revise SOPs and other docs in Intelex.
• Support QA, ESHA, and Supply Chain activities to ensure safe, efficient production.
• Assist technicians on shift to fix equipment and improve output.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Drive production improvements to boost output and site profitability.
• Apply Operational Excellence programs CPS/CCX; maintain CLNX and GEMBA walks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by production or site manager.

Join Clariant as a Production Supervisor and lead safe, sustainable, productive, and profitable manufacturing operations at our Belen site in New Mexico. In this role, you will lead the production team on the 2nd shift, coordinate staffing and daily operations, ensure production plans are achieved, and support continuous improvement initiatives. You will also develop and motivate your team, promote operational excellence, collaborate with Quality, ESHA, and Supply Chain teams, and help drive improvements in safety, efficiency, quality, and overall site performance.

Responsibilities

• Staffing and all aspects of production management that are needed to efficiently run the Dryer Operations and Desiccant Packaging Operations.
• Perform all SAP transactions needed for production reporting and inventory reconciliation activities
• Execute operations plans to help ensure 100% production plan adherence.
• Align work assignments of the team with the planning schedule
• Manage, motivate and develop employees in line with the Clariant principles
• Execute training and development plans for hourly personnel. Ensure skill matrices are created and aligned for all roles. Create and revise all required SOP’s, work instructions, and other documents in Intelex.
• Supports/contributes to Quality Assurance, ESHA, and Supply Chain related activities as needed for safe and efficient/uninterrupted production.
• Support efficiency and output results by supporting the techs on shift as needed by actively participating in fixing equipment.
• Ensures compliance with any local, federal or state legal rules and regulation.
• Implement changes to increase production output and increase overall site profitability.
• Employ Clariant Operational Excellence: CPS and CCX. Maintain CLNX (continuous improvement) and Innovation (new product introduction). Perform bi-monthly GEMBA walks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the production manager or site manager.

Requirements

• BS degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Process, or Controls Engineering
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP preferred
