Job summary

Abbott in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Production Specialist Operator for the Nutrition plant. You will operate filling, processing and sterilizing equipment, monitor sterility, and ensure accurate documentation while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

You will join a team committed to quality, compliance and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment that supports Abbott's nutrition brands and patient care goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of production or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Safety operation of production equipment related to filling, processing and sterilizing equipment and sampling responsibilities.
• Monitors charts and performs tests to assure sterility.
• Responsible for the accurate completion of the work order and other documentation.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
• Effectively communicates within the department and plant with all levels of employees.
• Responsible for maintaining and replenishing production materials.
• Completes general housekeeping and sanitation tasks.
• You'll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A PRODUCTION SPECIALIST OPERATOR

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ years of production or manufacturing experience
• Must be able to work effectively within a team environment, possess excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Aseptic fill and sanitation process experience
• One year production experience within food manufacturing environment
• Forklift experience preferred

The base pay for this position is $19.05 - $38.15/hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
