Job summary

FMC Corporation is seeking a manufacturing operations professional to oversee production orders, analyze variances, and maintain accurate master data across SAP-enabled systems. The role supports inventory control, cycle counts, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations and Cost Accounting.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in manufacturing operations, strong data analysis capabilities, and proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Five years of progressive manufacturing/operations experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze operational data and support business decisions.
  • SAP knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Administers and oversees production process orders and validates results.
  • Analyzes process order cost variances and performance data for improvement opportunities.
  • Maintains master data, including product records, workflows, and system configurations.
  • Evaluates business processes and recommends efficiency improvements.
  • Performs Material Usage Variance analysis to support inventory control.
  • Administers SAP Cycle Count Program and resolves discrepancies.
  • Provides logistics support and backup for logistics coordination activities.
  • Maintains and governs manufacturing master data (recipes, BOMs).
  • Investigates and resolves day-to-day operational issues.

Together, we’re building a more resilient planet – one innovation at a time.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Administers and oversees the execution of production process orders, ensuring the accurate recording of finished goods production and semi-finished goods consumption, while validating production results against process work orders.Analyzes process order cost variances and production performance data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement in master data accuracy and operational execution.Serves as a system owner for assigned master data processes, including the creation, maintenance, and optimization of product records, workflows, and system configurations supporting manufacturing operations.Evaluates existing business processes and recommends improvements to enhance operational efficiency, data integrity, and overall business performancePerforms Material Usage Variance (MUV) analysis and provides insights and recommendations to support inventory control and manufacturing performance objectives.Administers the SAP Cycle Count Program, monitoring inventory control processes, identifying discrepancies, and recommending corrective actions.Reviews and authorizes inventory adjustment recommendations resulting from cycle counts and physical inventories, coordinating with Cost Accounting and Operations leadership to ensure accuracy and compliance.Partners with Operations, Production Services, and Cost Accounting to plan, coordinate, and execute annual physical inventory activities and related reconciliation efforts.Provides functional support and decision-making assistance in logistics operations and serves as a key backup resource for logistics coordination activities.Conducts inventory and blocked stock evaluations, identifies risks and opportunities, and provides recommendations to support inventory optimization and operational objectives.Investigates and resolves day-to-day operational issues through data analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and process troubleshooting.Maintains and governs manufacturing master data, including recipes, bills of materials, and related system structures, ensuring alignment with operational and business requirements.Acts as a key resource for manufacturing systems and inventory control processes, providing guidance and recommendations to support operational effectiveness and continuous improvement initiatives.Key Attributes:Drive for ResultsCommunicate EffectivelyManaging Through SystemsManagerial CourageTime ManagementAnalytical ThinkingStrategic Problem SolvingPriority SettingAction OrientedProcess ImprovementBusiness AcumenMinimum Education: High School DiplomaBachelor's degree preferred.Experience:Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, production control, inventory management, supply chain, or related operational environments.Demonstrated experience analyzing operational data, resolving process issues, and supporting business decision-making.SAP knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.Salary Range:$75,000- $95,000FMC is an equal opportunity employer.
