Job summary

Ecolab in Philadelphia, PA seeks a Production Shift Supervisor to lead a 10–15 person team and execute production plans per quality standards.

Responsibilities include driving high performance, TPM/continuous improvement, and ensuring safety and compliance across operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science or 4 years of experience in chemical manufacturing operation leadership.
  • Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Candidate should reside within a commutable distance of the Philadelphia plant.
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or chemistry.
  • Experience in production supervision.
  • Experience in quality control in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • TPM (operational excellence) experience.
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Suite (PowerBI, PowerAutomate, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Experience with SAP.

  • Lead a team of 10-15 individuals.
  • Ensure the location is in compliance with all internal and external standards and legislation.
  • Recommend and implement measures to improve departmental productivity and efficiency, product quality (FPF), methods and working conditions so that downtime is minimized through the use of teamwork and TPM/continuous improvement principles.
  • Manage relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate and reinforce plant plans in area of responsibility.
  • Create an environment in which employees can work safely.
  • Ensure the Quality System is followed and that products produced meet specifications.
  • Partners with internal plant and external Ecolab contacts (Quality, Logistics, Planning, and regulatory agencies) to proactively avoid quality, environmental and service issues.
  • Provide formal and informal reports on plant performance and issues.

Job description

The Production Shift Supervisor is responsible for first line leadership and coaching of work units to meet production schedules. Participates in product cost improvement; control quality and first pass fail (FPF) improvement; plans production activities; supports TPM activities; Drive manufacturing excellence; and promotes safe working conditions and positive employee relations. Follows quality control guidelines and procedures to ensure that raw materials and finished goods comply with engineering and product specifications. This is the perfect job if you are self-motivated, with a bias for action, a sense of urgency, and tendency to quickly take personal responsibility/able to influence team to drive cultural improvements and achieve manufacturing excellence. The Production Shift Supervisor owns execution of production plans per quality standards and reports to the Production Manager. This position is located in Philadelphia, PA.

Work Schedule

12 hour rotating shift (4 days on, 4 days off).

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science OR 4 years of experience in chemical manufacturing operation leadership
  • Immigration Sponsorship is not available for this position
  • Candidate should reside within a commutable distance of the Philadelphia plan
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or chemistry
  • Experience in production supervision
  • Experience in quality control in a chemical manufacturing environment

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $74,700.00 - $112,200.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
