Job summary

Future Form Manufacturing in Sparks, NV is seeking a Production Sheetmetal Technician to provide production support across sheetmetal departments. You will perform hardware insertion, light tapping, graining/deburring, unloading parts, minor assembly, and ensure parts are prepared for the next operation with quality in mind.

You will work to meet lean targets, document work accurately, and communicate with supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and relevant vocational training (sheet metal work).
• Ability to read shop orders, drawings and follow detailed verbal instructions.
• Ability to measure with precision and maintain quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic operations such as hardware insertion, manual tapping, and minor assembly.
• Unload and stage parts from the laser; graining and deburring edges/surfaces.
• Check parts for accuracy, maintain counts, and document work including clock-in/out.
• Prepare parts for the next process and participate in lean activities.
• Follow ISO 9001 procedures and assist team members as needed.

Salary Range: $21.00 To $24.00 Hourly

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Provide production support to various Sheetmetal departments, assisting with basic hardware insertion, manual tapping, graining/deburring, part unloading and palletizing, minor assembly, and other operations as directed. The Production Sheetmetal Technician ensures parts are handled with care, prepared for the next operation, and completed according to Future Form’s internal procedures with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, and teamwork.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES:

• Perform basic operations such as:
  • Hardware insertion (per program/tooling requirements)
  • Manual tapping of holes
  • Minor part assembly (riveting)
  • Unloading and staging parts from the laser
  • Graining and deburring edges/surfaces
• Have first article or setup checked by lead, supervisor, or inspector
• Check parts regularly for accuracy and quality
• Maintain efficient production times and accurate part counts
• Document work accurately including clock-in & clock-out
• Properly prepare and stage parts for the next process
• Communicate clearly and promptly with supervisors, lead, and co-workers
• Notify lead of any material or mechanical issues
• Participate actively and positively in Lean activities
• Follow ISO 9001 requirements and internal Quality Manual procedures

• Ability to operate machinery in various departments
• Basic math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed verbal instructions

• Ability to check quality using precision measuring equipment
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks
