JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Profile: Functions of Set up team member and Production Leadership of cleaning, staging and production room set up.

Production set up:

Responsible for the accurate reconciliation of all raw material (item, lot, and quantity) staged for production and the physical location of the product matching the location in the RMF inventory system. Responsible for the line clearance, sanitation verification, equipment setup, and readiness checks prior to production start-up, ensuring smooth hand off to the production team and adherence to all food safety and quality standards.

Line Preparation and Set up:

Performs full production line setup in accordance with production schedules, specifications, and work instructions. Assemble, adjust, and stage processing and packaging equipment for production runs. Verify correct tooling, parts, containers, labels, and materials are in place prior to start up. Adherence to equipment settings, are aligned with production requirements before release to operations.

Staging Workflow:

Responsible for ensuring that all labor and physical resources are efficiently and effectively deployed to ensure that production lines have all the materials required to run on schedule. Responsible for auditing the stager’s documentation to ensure the accuracy – batch ticket notes, production schedule, item/lots/quantities, and legibility.

Sanitation and Line Clearance:

Must execute and verify proper sanitation of equipment and production areas in compliance with GMP’s, SOP’s, and all safety standards. Conduct thorough line clearance to prevent cross-contamination, allergen risks, and production mix ups. Inspect equipment, conveyors, and surrounding areas to confirm cleanliness and readiness. Document sanitation and clearance activities accurately and completely.

Food Safety & Quality Compliance:

Follow all food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, including allergen controls and traceability. Identify and report any sanitation equipment or food safety concerns prior to production start-up. Support inspections, cleaning, internal quality checks as needed.

Communication & Handoff:

Communicate line status clearly to supervisors, quality staff, and production teams before releasing the line. Flag delays, issues, or missing items that may impact timely startup or production output. Collaborate closely with sanitation, maintenance, quality, and production teams to ensure readiness. Adherence to the communication escalation process.

Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures. Assist in improving setup efficiency, standard clean times, and line readiness processes. Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work environment always.

Job Duties and Accountabilities:

• Safety. Works in a safe manner. Always complies with safe work practices. Completes forklift certification as required. Reports unsafe conditions or situation to supervisor or management. Responsible for all storage of product to ensure egress is available on every aisle and within the weight capacities of the storage beams/aisles.
• Safely operates forklift and other material moving equipment. Demonstrates the ability to operate forklifts and material moving equipment safely effectively and safely. Meets productivity requirements for assigned work. Work is performed in a warehouse and production environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to safely operate a forklift or other material moving equipment and to physically handle product and material throughout the day. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Builds pallets and loads by hand, moving and stacking packaged product to pallets.
• Inventory Control. Complies with and executes warehouse inventory processes and procedures including scanning inventory, accurately completing inventory documentation including receiving documents and material movement documentation. Requires accuracy and attention to detail in placing material and product in warehouse locations as well as receiving loads and preparing loads for shipment.
