Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is recruiting for a Production Scheduler to manage and support all production-related activities. You will work with Sales, Purchasing, Production and Dispatch to generate daily schedules and communicate lead times across the organization.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or two years of manufacturing experience (precast industry preferred), strong MS Office skills, and familiarity with MRP and inventory control.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of two years manufacturing experience; precast concrete industry preferred.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain relationships throughout the organization.
  • Experience with change management initiatives related to processes and procedures to achieve results.
  • Customer focus; dedicated to meeting internal and external customer expectations.
  • Excellent oral/written communication, presentation and listening skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with MRP, production scheduling, inventory control.
  • Ability to plan work and implement programs through others.
  • Ability to read and understand shop/engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Production and Dispatch to generate and distribute daily production schedules to achieve delivery commitments.
  • Utilize ERP system capabilities for production scheduling; create and verify Bills-of-Materials for standard and custom products.
  • Communicate production lead times to all levels of the organization.
  • Schedule all stock and custom products based on form capacity, manpower availability and min/max inventory levels.
  • Review Min/Max inventory levels and adjust based on sales history.
  • Coordinate movement of stock inventory to the appropriate plant location or distribution center with Dispatch.
  • Identify potential material shortages and take action to minimize impact.
  • Establish inventory cycle counting process for raw materials and finished goods inventories.
  • Participate in the physical inventory process.
  • Lead weekly sales & operations planning meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Production Scheduler manages and supports all production-related activities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Production and Dispatch to generate and distribute daily production schedules to achieve delivery commitments.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of two (2) years manufacturing experience in lieu of degree. Experience in the precast concrete industry preferred.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships throughout the organization.
  • Experience with change management initiatives related to processes and procedures to achieve desired results.
  • Customer focus; dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal and external customers.
  • Excellent oral / written communication, presentation and listening skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with MRP, production scheduling, inventory control.
  • Ability to plan work and implement programs through the direction of others.
  • Ability to read and understand shop/engineering drawings.
