Unknown Company is seeking a Manufacturing Operations professional to analyze production schedules and coordinate material requirements to meet inventory objectives. Job description

JOB SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for analyzing daily/weekly production schedules to meet


material requirements and inventory objectives, as well as analyzing and coordinating the


necessary amounts of components in support of weekly production needs. This role works with


other staff to maintain appropriate inventory and oversees daily min/max. levels and facilitates


inventory accuracy by identifying and initiating actions to reduce errors and assists in corrective


action. The position requires having a good understanding of production inventory control techniques


and principles


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Works with the materials team on production tracking and reconciliation.

  • Tracks efficiencies and communicates to the operations team.

  • Manage priorities for the operations team, in order to circumvent manpower issues.

  • The ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management personnel.

  • Manages and develops schedules related to budgets, forecasts, and customer orders.

  • Produces and coordinates production plans, materials requirements to ensure

  • achievement of production and quality expectations for delivery performance.

  • Tracks outgoing freight purchased by the location.

  • Ownership of Raw, WIP, and Finished Goods Inventory Clear responsibility for inventory levels, safety stock, inventory turns and helping reduce the excess inventory we’re carrying.

  • Maintains 100% on-time delivery..

  • Provides exceptional customer service including proactive communication and maintaining customer relationships.

  • Is one of the back‑up and steps in for the Materials Manager when necessary.

  • Cycle counting at all inventory levels.

  • Clear KPIs, Things like forecast accuracy, inventory turns, WIP aging, and schedule adherence so expectations are clear on day one.

  • True Long-Term Planning, rolling 12‑week production plan so operations, purchasing, and finance all have better visibility.

  • Excess Iventory Reduction, this needs to be a priority within the role, given where we’re at today.

  • Strong ERP Planning Skills (NetSuite experience is a plus)

  • All other responsibilities as assigned by management


Qualifications


  • Computer skills: Ability to use a personal computer with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications most notably, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Ability to use main business information system

  • Organization skills: excellent organizational, ability to multi‑tasking and shift priorities as needed.

  • Must demonstrate previous experiences with developing new processes and systems.

  • Communication skills: excellent written and verbal skills; strong interpersonal skills; ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information.

  • Problemsolving skills: good problem‑solving skills with the ability to provide easily understood solutions

  • Experience with demonstrating discretion and sensitivity to working with confidential

  • information.

  • Physicalenvironment: normal office environment; manufacturing and warehouse environment and exposure to moving equipment.

  • Mustbe willing to work flexible hours as necessary to support multiple shifts.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE


  • Work experience: 3+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, production planning, or inventory control role.

  • Education: Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management or Related Field..
