Job summary

Biomic Sciences, LLC, a Seraphic Group subsidiary, seeks a Production Sanitation Specialist to uphold the highest cleanliness standards in a GMP production facility. You will support production and bottling, assist in packaging, and ensure proper sanitation documentation.

You will work under the Production Manager, joining a small, collaborative team focused on quality, safety, and efficiency to protect product integrity and the health of customers.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining GMP sanitation in a production/clean room environment.
• Ability to follow GMP and Quality Control protocols and document activities accurately.
• Comfort handling cleaning chemicals and operating cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facility and equipment sanitation per GMP and QC standards.
• Clean and sanitize bottling room and equipment; maintain floors, walls, ceilings, vessels, and tools.
• Ensure proper documentation of cleaning and sanitation activities.
• Properly handle, store, and use cleaning chemicals.
• Oversee pest control and exterior maintenance to prevent harborage.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Participate in production and bottling runs; assist with mixing, bottling, capping, labeling.
• Support manufacturing of proprietary ingredients with large equipment.
• Monitor automated machinery for safety and quality.
• Assist in line changeovers, equipment maintenance, and repairs.
• Complete Quality Control documentation as required.
• Assemble boxes and totes; packaging and totes sealing.
• Move boxes and components using pallet jack and forklift (training provided).
• Operate floor sweep and cleaning machine; assist packaging as needed.

Position Summary:

As a Production Sanitation Specialist, your work is foundational to everything we do. By maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our production facility, you directly protect the integrity of products that support the gut health of thousands of customers and contribute to a healthier planet. This role operates under the direction of the Production Manager and works as a vital member of a small, collaborative, hands-on team. In addition to sanitation responsibilities, you will participate directly in production, and bottling runs as needed to support business continuity.

Measures of Success:

Success as a Production Sanitation Specialist requires punctuality, reliability, thoroughness, and consistent performance in maintaining high cleanliness and sanitation standards, while also working cohesively with a small team to support production and bottling runs. This can be observed by the Production Manager and by Quality Control.

Responsibilities:

Facility Sanitation and GMP Compliance (Primary Focus)

• Oversee the overall sanitation of the facility and equipment, ensuring cleaning and sanitation procedures are executed correctly by GMP and Quality Control protocols and standards.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment and the bottling room, including bottling equipment, floors, walls, ceilings, mixing vessels, tools, utensils, and mixing tanks.
• Ensure documentation pertaining to cleaning and sanitation is properly and accurately completed and signed.
• Properly and safely handle, store, and use all cleaning chemicals.
• Oversee pest control: ensure pest control procedures are executed correctly, maintain the exterior of the building to prevent pest harborage sites, and ensure related documentation is properly completed and signed.
• Maintain cleaning supplies: ensure supplies remain stocked, and maintain cleaning equipment (e.g., laundering mop heads, cleaning buckets).

Production and Manufacturing Support

• Participate in production and bottling runs as needed, assisting with mixing, bottling, capping, and labeling finished product while adhering to proper protocols, safety requirements, and Quality Control standards.
• Support manufacturing of proprietary ingredients utilizing large mixing vessels and specialty equipment.
• Monitor automated machinery for safety, proper operation, and quality results.
• Assist in production line changeovers, equipment maintenance, and repairs.
• Properly complete any required Quality Control documentation.

Warehouse Operations and Packaging

• Assemble boxes and totes when needed; properly fill and seal packaging and totes.
• Safely move boxes, totes, bottles, caps, and components using a pallet jack and forklift (company training provided).
• Operate floor sweep and cleaning machine throughout the warehouse as needed.
• May occasionally be asked to assist the Packaging Department with assembling half and whole cases, bundles, or other prepackaged product.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

• Occasional weekend or after-hours work may be required.
• Warehouse and production clean room environment; use of lab suits, hair nets, beard nets, and shoe covers required in clean room areas.
• Ability to remain on your feet and active throughout the shift.
• Safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move heavy objects as needed.
• Comfort with repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
