Job summary
Aurora Organic Dairy in Platteville, CO, is seeking a Production Engineer to join the maintenance team. You will develop and execute preventative maintenance programs, improve equipment reliability, and support safety and quality objectives in a high-volume dairy facility.
The role requires 5+ years in hands-on maintenance, experience with ammonia refrigeration and boilers, and the ability to lead maintenance staff, troubleshoot PLCs, read manuals, and manage on-call coverage.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational school or technical training preferred.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Fabrication and welding skills highly desired.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/maintenance manuals.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting in a food processing facility.
- Minimum 5 years hands-on maintenance in a food processing facility.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs.
- Improve productivity, safety and quality through maintenance.
- Support plant operations across Receiving, Processing and Packaging.
- Collaborate with engineers to maintain equipment and implement improvements.
- Provide on-call coverage and hands-on repair support.
